One month after the disengagement at Gogra-Hot Springs (PP-15), India and China convened their 25th meeting of the Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination on India-China Border Affairs (WMCC) on Friday.

According to an official statement from the Ministry of External Affairs, the two countries reviewed the situation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Western Sector of the India-China border areas. They discussed the developments since the last WMCC meeting in May 2022 and welcomed the phased, coordinated, and verified disengagement at Gogra-Hot Springs (PP-15) between 8-12 September 2022.

Both sides agreed to continue discussions through diplomatic and military channels to address remaining issues along the LAC promptly, with the aim of restoring normalcy in bilateral relations.
