Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia emphasized the importance of building capability in India, as the country aims to account for 25% of the global workforce and contribute 15% of the global GDP by 2047. He expressed these views at the India Ideas Conclave, highlighting India’s unique approach to globalization that is balanced, decentralized, symmetrical, and based on territorial integrity.

Scindia also discussed the eight pillars of the Indian model, which have shifted away from socialist constraints towards Atmanirbhar Bharat. He mentioned the government’s efforts to empower people through direct benefit transfers, with $200 billion distributed among 950 million individuals over the past eight years.

Infrastructure development, technology, a shift in GDP composition, urban economy, demographic power, diplomacy and diaspora, and global standing were identified as key pillars for India’s future growth. Scindia highlighted the favorable geopolitical climate for India, attributing it to the country’s foreign policy initiatives.
