India reported 524 new cases of coronavirus after a gap of 113 days, bringing the total number of active cases to 3,618, according to the latest data from the Union Health Ministry on Sunday.
The death toll has reached 5,30,781, with one additional death reported by Kerala as of 8 am.
The total number of Covid cases in India has now reached 4.46 crore (4,46,90,492).
The national recovery rate stands at 98.80%, with 4,41,56,093 people having recovered from the virus. The case fatality rate is 1.19%.
The ministry reports that a total of 220.64 crore doses of the Covid vaccine have been administered in the country as part of the nationwide vaccination drive.
