India reported 179 new Covid-19 cases on Saturday, bringing the active caseload down to 2,227, as per data from the Union Health Ministry. The country saw a decrease of 30 cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of Covid-19 cases in India is now 4.46 crore (4,46,80,936), with a death toll of 5,30,726, including one death reported by Kerala. On Saturday, 1,74,467 tests were conducted, with a daily test positivity rate of 0.10% and a weekly positivity rate of 0.10%. The national Covid-19 recovery rate has reached 98.80%. As part of the nationwide vaccination drive, a total of 220.16 crore (2,20,16,78,543) vaccine doses have been administered in India.
