Union Home Minister Amit Shah made a plea to the people at his first rally following the announcement of the Assembly polls, urging them to vote in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in order to achieve a “golden Chhattisgarh.”

During the rally, Shah emphasized the importance of voting for Modi, rather than for a government or MLA, in order to bring about a “golden” future. He also addressed the tragic death of Bhuneshwar Sahu in communal violence, and promised to ensure that the culprits are brought to justice.

Shah urged the crowd to show solidarity for Bhuneshwar’s “martyrdom” by shouting Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Vande Mataram. He then criticized Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, accusing his government of corruption and highlighting the work done by the BJP during its 15-year rule.

Furthermore, Shah listed the central government schemes being implemented in Chhattisgarh and questioned Baghel on the unfulfilled promises made by his party, including a liquor ban. He also compared the financial aid received by Chhattisgarh during the Congress-led UPA’s 10-year rule to the assistance provided by the BJP since 2014.
