India recorded 9,355 new coronavirus infections, bringing the total active cases to 57,410, as per the latest data from the Union health ministry on Thursday.
The death toll has risen to 5,31,424, with 26 new deaths reported, including six fatalities from Kerala, according to the 8 am update.
The daily positivity rate stands at 4.08%, with a weekly positivity rate of 5.36%. The total number of Covid cases in India has reached 4.49 crore.
Active cases now make up 0.13% of total infections, while the national Covid recovery rate is at 98.69%, as per the ministry’s website.
The number of recovered cases has reached 4,43,35,977, with a case fatality rate of 1.18%.
A total of 220.66 crore doses of the Covid vaccine have been administered nationwide, according to the ministry’s website.
